Headcounts will go up as Goldman Sachs is committed to expand its asset management and wealth management footprint in Asia, with a special focus on Hong Kong, Singapore & Australia as their key wealth markets for growth.

During his recent visit to SG, Goldman's Global Head of Asset and Wealth Management Marc Nachmann commented, "Asia will continue to be a very big opportunity for us to grow our asset and wealth management. We are focused on continuing to build our capabilities and our headcount in the region.” 

Interestingly, the GS asset and wealth management headcount in Singapore is now 30% higher than three years ago. 

With headcounts certain to grow further in both HK and Singapore, Goldman just launched its application dates for 2025 hirings in addition to some new roles for 2024 as well. 

Remember, the company's already given hints that it expects stronger deal performance in H2 2024, so even their investment banking division headcount forecast is promising.
